Live Tube Map (work in progress)

Since TfL launched their live data service in 2010, there have been a number of attempts to build a live map of the London Underground that shows the positions of the trains.

However, none of them are actually particularly accurate.

I have a long running project to build a live tube map that really, actually shows the current position of the trains. In fact, the ultimate goal is an augmented reality app that lets you walk around London with "x-ray vision" of the trains running beneath your feet...

I have recently been focussing on building an accurate 3D map of the tube lines, and rendering it efficiently in WebGL.
